Rinse Chicken inside and out, pat dry. In a small bowl add the lemon juice, oil, and melted butter, mix well and rub onto chicken. In another small bowl mix all dry seasonings together and rub inside and out of chicken (you can also rub underneath the skin). Put the poked lemon inside the chicken, place in a lrg. baking pan, add a sml amount of water or chicken broth. Tie the chicken legs together with a cotton string. Roast 20 min. then reduce heat to 400* Roast for 40 min.- 1hr. Take the chicken out of oven and cover with foil and let sit for 15 min.
Here are some additional options, you can add potatoes, carrots and onions around the chicken while it cooks for yummy extras. Also can add onion to the inside of the chicken with the lemon. This is usually what I like to do! Smells great cooking and tastes wonderful!

Also here is another Great recipe to try for dessert or for a summer delight!

Friendships of Love

When I was 15 maybe 16, I met a dear friend we became best of friends, we even got a job working together at a restaurant. She met a guy while working, and they hit it off like they had known each other forever. Eventually they were engaged and she asked me to be in her wedding, ( of course I said YES ) I was so happy for them. So the wedding took place at his parents house in their back yard (which was beautiful). After the wedding, we all went in the house, and mingled a while, and watched on as her husband played his guitar and sang an acoustic version of Eric Clapton's You Look Wonderful Tonight! It was the sweetest thing ever! The evening went on and everyone parted ways.
A couple mo. down the road they moved into a cute little house not far from his parents, they were so excited to be starting their lives. We got together as often as we could, because I did not live very close to them. Eventually months had past and then years of not seeing each other (not because of a fight, just distance). We had completely lost contact.
I had searched and searched with another best friend of ours, (that we all had lost contact with) But I thank God I finally found her a few years ago)! We tried everything we knew to find our friend. Finally about a week ago I found her, but it wasn't what I thought it was going to be. I found her Obituary, She had passed away in 2010 in a car wreck (which was the yr I was married). My heart was broken to find this out. She was still married to the man she met at such a young age, and they had a son! I am still in shock from finding this info.
So I guess the reason for all of this, Life is too short, and you never know when your Journey is over. Love Strong, Love Hard, and let everyone you know and love, how much you love them, Everyday for we never know when our time may pass!

Mark 12:30-31
30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'31The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

Have a Little Faith

Today is my first Blog, I hope it is worth reading to whom ever reads it!

It is such a beautiful day today, sometimes we forget and let the day go by without even giving thanks to our Lord, I am often guilty of this! He is the most precious in our lives and he should be praised daily in everything we do. I think having faith is something everyone needs, If we have faith in our Lord he will supply all our needs he will show us his Favor!
I love to listen to Joel Osteen talk about us asking for the Lords Favor, It is so funny because we were going to Wal-Mart one evening and it was a packed house, so I calmly asked The Lord to give me Favor and let me get in and out and find a close parking spot ( cause it was raining )
and I went down an aisle and back up and there was a parking spot! So it does'nt just have to do with asking our Lord for Favor for a good parking spot, but its having faith and trusting in him, not just the BIG things, but also the little things.

Matthew 17:20 NIV He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

God Bless us all!
